OK! Something I learned a long time ago and completely forgot: always download the zip file to your hard drive before you install it!.... duh! otherwise your run the risk of corrupt files . I was installing from an external hard drive to where I downloaded the iso file in the first place! oh well, old enough to know better and too old to care!

Greek Keyboard
Even though I have the Greek keyboard up when I type in the search bar Greek letters they appear in English. How do I fix it? Also, is there a way to look up specific Greek words in the Greek Paradigm section? Thanks.

Easy way to manually sort search results into different lists/categories?
Hi all, I was curious if there is any easy way to sort the search results into related meanings. I figure it will have to be done manually, but right now I've been using a pen and paper to group related scriptures. So, for example, if I do a search of ἅγιος (holy) and want to make a list of everywhere that it is used of the holy spirit, another list of everywhere it is used as "saints," and another list where it is simply used as an adj, is there a simple way of doing this? I've tried using check boxes, but that only allows compiling one list, and then I have to start over with the full list again once I've picked out the ones I want. Thanks in advance for any creative suggestions!

A reoccurance of an old problem: How to solve the ordered not Word boxes problem?
Dear remaining friends of BW,
I friend and I created a search query where we wanted to list all instances of modifiying words (mainly phasal verbs - see my word list in the word box - you can have it - or add further ones) in conection with a participle (in the nominative case as it should not modify objects as GcPs, DcPs or AcPs) but the subject. This should go according to the following pattern "begin/stop/maintain etc. doing something". My query file has two parts, connected with an OR-Box in the middle. Left is the phrase "Eu or kalws + poiew" which as modyfiing phrase takes pariciples (surly a better solution is possible) with the participle and on the right side a box with the modifiing phasal words (if you know more - you may be so friendly to add them) with a participle in the nominative (and the Pariciple and the phasal verb agree in number to reduce false hits).
So far so good. Now we wanted to optimize your query and rule out hits as διέλιπεν ὁ τρέχων (Jer 8.6 - an article before the participle) to get a improved search file - now, and that problem follows me as long as I can remember - I cant teach the ASE to rule out definite articles before the participle as I don`t want to have participles used as nouns. Whatever we did in the right section of the query (e.g. use a box with definite articles - negate this box within 2-3 words before the participle) and now the problem comes - I cant get away such hits as Jer 8.6 - I had this problem in former queries as well. It seems that in ordered structures one cannot have not-boxes. If that is the case - ok. than it is as it is, if I am wrong - I would beg you for help - maybe someone is still there from former BW days. Any other improvements are welcome!
Yours in Christ! Peter P.S. Attached the query file.

Migrate BW10 files from SSD
Dear All,
My SSD has only 10% free, so I'd like to migrate my resource files to my hard drive. How would I do this?

Add On Licenses
I own version 9 and 10 for MS Windows. I was wondering if there is a specific key or series of keys to allow access to everything within these programs. I am a minister and since this software has been discontinued I would like to explore everything the V9 or 10 offers. I have valid licenses for both versions.
Thank you and may the Lord Bless You!

Matthew 2:19 and 20 the same Notes file
Howdy, Bros of the BW.
The subject line says it. My Notes file for verses 19 and 20 of Matthew 2 is the same. If I cut the contents of v. 19, the contents of v. 20 are also cut. It seems like it's the v. 20 file for both.
I've closed and reopened BW, and I've opened it in two different configurations. No joy.
Do you see the same in yours, assuming you do individual-verse notes?

Forum new post problem
I received four notifications from the forum that four different threads had new posts. When I visited those threads they contained older posts but nothing from today and not the content that the email said would be there.
I want to see if this post shows up at least.

Re-boot
Shalom! My BW program quit on me for some reason a few weeks ago. I would double click on the icon and it would not load. Sometimes it would give me an error message of some sort. I googled the issue and tried a few different fixes. I even tried deleting and downloading again. Finally, I reset my computer and then downloaded and it worked but only under a seemingly 14 day trial period. So it is working, for now. Does anyone have any information on this problem that may help me in the future id it happens again? Thanks.

Why is BibleWorks shutting down?
Does anyone know why BibleWorks does not continue to exist as a company, just selling there latest version with no support? There would be no overhead hardly at all. Either that or sell the company to someone who would do the same or extend development.
It just seems like such a sad waste. Heck, I would even buy the company and just offer what they have now.
It does not seem like they sold to accordance or Logos as I am not getting emails from them beckoning me to join them.
I am depressed. I lost my BibleWorks and got a new Mac. I dont know how to exist as a Christian without it!

Results Window
I used BW 5 for years and was quite happy with it, but when version 10 went on sale, I bought it. Now I am stuck with it, as I can't find my BW 5 install disc. Anyway, in 5 there were two arrows (right and left) which could be used to bring up previously displayed results windows. I can't figure out how to do it with BW 10. I sure hope this is possible, since I used this feature a lot. I know how to bring up previous search window info, but not the results window.

Browse Window - Forward and Backward Arrows?
I'm helping a friend that had BW 5 and recently upgraded to BW 10. From what I understand, BW 5 had arrows that allowed one to move forward and backward within the Browse window. Like the foward and backward arrows within an Intenet Web Browser. Is this an option for BW 10? Say one brought up Gen.1:1 and then went to Mt.1:1 and then John 3, you can click on the backward arrow and reverse your browsed verses or forward to move in that direction.
Thanks for any help.

A T Rolbertson Word Pictures
When I recently picked up version 10, I used the "Upgrade" option, as BW said that would allow me to keep features in my previous version (version 5). That was important to me, as I can't find my original version 5 install disc. However, I cannot find any reference to Robertson's word pictures in the new version. If it is still there somewhere, I would like to be able to make use of it. Any ideas on how to find it, or if it was retained or tossed? I am now wishing I had separated the new version and kept the old one, but I don't know if that would have worked. In any case, it is too late now.

Notes pane keeps switching the keyboard layout to en-US
Hello!
I am trying to configure BW10 to use the norwegian keyboard layout everywhere. It contains all english characters anyways, and I can also make use of the norwegian diacritics at the same time. How can I achieve this?
I read the documentation, which is kind of dishearting, mentioning that the language settings "may" work well for "some" languages.
The only place which seems to ignore my settings is the Notes editor. It jumps to en-US as soon as it receives focus and it would not switch back to any other layout when it looses focus.
Any ideas how to set this up?
Best regards,
Catalin

Installation of BW 8 into a new computer!
So, can I install BW 8 onto my new laptop?
I'm moving through the installation wizard using the installation CD. When I get to the point of submitting my activation code, it's telling me that the code is invalid. Thus, the installation stalls. I would appreciate any help anyone can provide. Even though my BW is the lowly "8" it was still VERY expensive when purchased, and I'm going to be pretty disappointed if my $300+ dollars was spent just so I could install the program one time!
Thanks,
John

Multiple verses in browse window?
At some point in the past, I could type "Heb 10:19-25" and that range of verses would show up in the browse window. I think (old brain, short memory) that was probably in Multi-version mode because is seem to remember that that range of verses would be visible in the versions too, but maybe not.
I 'm pretty sure it didn't work in both modes.
I either get the single version browse mode (full text of a single version) or a single verse in each of the versions (in multiple-Version Mode). And this is exactly what the help file shows.
Anyhow, it doesn't work any more. Am I missing something? Is there a work around? Did it disappear?

Setting the Browse Mode
This button toggles the Browse Mode of the Browse Window. The text of Bible versions can be displayed in the Browse Window in two different modes:
- In Single Version Browse Mode the full text of a single version is displayed. The Browse Window scroll bar functions to move you throughout the entire Bible. If you click and hold on the scroll bar center button and drag it up and down you will see the current book, chapter and verse displayed in the area just above the Browse Window. Thus even small movements of this slider will affect large jumps in the text, as can be observed by corresponding changes in the Browse Window outline. Clicking above or below the slider will affect smaller text jumps
- In Multiple-Version Mode a single verse is displayed from each of the versions selected in the Display Versions Window. This is useful when you want to compare the text of a passage from several Bible versions at the same time. Normally the Browse Windows only displays one verse from each of the selected versions, but there is not always a one-to-one mapping between verses in different versions. One verse in a particular version may correspond to two or more verses in another version. So in some cases you may see more than one verse per version.

Adding LSJ Lexicon to Analysis tab
Hello
Following a major computer crash last week, my C:/ drive was reformatted by an I.T. person and I lost all settings for everything (it wasn't accessible, anyway). I am now going through the time-consuming process of re-installing and re-configuring everything, including BW10.
Here is my request for help: I previously had the Liddell-Scott-Jones Greek lexicon under Friberg, Gingrich and Danker under the Analysis tab in the Analysis Window. It is still there in the program, but I can't remember or work out how to add it here, and all Google searches have so far proved fruitless.
If anyone could remind me how to do this, I would be most grateful. (I have found one answer on-line, but the steps do not correspond to the version of BW10 that I have, which was reinstalled from the 22GB ISO image downloaded in July.)
Many thanks!
Trevor
