Formatting oddity

I am using BibleWorks 9. My problem is that when I save a file on the editor screen and later reopen it, some of the formatting is gone (e.g. bullets and numbering).
This problem only cropped up recently; I've used this type of formatting very frequently without a problem.
Any ideas?
